Forum Games / Re: Rock Paper Scissors Tournament
July 14, 2010, 12:36:12 PM
You signed up for something you didn't get?
It's a rock-paper-scissors tournament.  After I close the sign-ups, then everyone PMs me a list of ten choices (rock, paper, or scissors.)
I'll randomly match someone up with another person, and see who wins more of the rounds.  This person moves on to the next round where they are again matched up with someone, etc, etc, until there's one winner.

Be mildly interested; I've never met him before, then contact KZ.
What would you do if I fell in a ditch?

I agree.  I think close to the TRPG2 Main is reasonable, what about you?

Namely, the ability of Luca to place teammates or enemies on terrains that are passable to flying units only.
Sounds like a bug that should be fixed
CraigStern actually acknowledged this as intended during a discussion about a mission in TPA2 so it's not a bug.
I agree with KZ's theories.

@Zackirus: No need to apologize, if you're fine with it it's fine since it's your cfharacter.
@Duskling: I don't get your point about namelesskitty, algebra15, Ersatz Man and Steelfist, because no one tried character control on them.  Also, you using character control is against the rules, regardless of whether rainen broke them also.  And it IS character control regardless of whether or not he would have done it.  If you kill him again and break the rules, that's just as bad as godmoding.
@rainen: I agree, rainen is a bit overpowered- after all the shadow creatures, he needs more rest than what he got and he should be nowhere near full power.

In short: Duskling, stop the character control, rainen, tone down your character's power.

General Discussion / Re: Thoughts on WWII

There would- just in 2020.
Is it true that the atomic bomb was dropped because of a communication mistranslation or is that just an urban legend?

I still don't get it.

I actually agree with rainen- when I first came back I thought 'Wow, MAJOR character control.'  Everything occuring with Zack/Annabeth was fine since Zackirus was fine with it, but I think rainen should be given the chance to negate anything that you posted that controlled his actions.  Whether or not he's overpowered is a different matter.
Also, @MikeW781: Resting =/= sleeping.

How about shortest time done for the last mission or something. Or most earned gold.
1. Grinding
2. Grinding

I really don't see how a leaderboard could work.

Arman should call him 'kid' as much as possible.

If people want to change names from a cheat to a proper name, that's fine with me.  Since there's no TRPG PvP, it really doesn't affect anyone else (except it makes walkthroughs easier, etc)

And the battle of a millennia begins. The camera zooms out to show Set eating a bag of popcorn, which is sitting atop a static-shield-table.
:D

Back on topic: I would like to see Shadow Guardians, preferrably as enemies (Loyalists) because fighting against Dark Vortex is fun! (i.e. getting your units killed nine at a time is fun!)

I like the premise of the first mass effect where you had to choose which one of your teamates had to stay behind and take the blast. I think it would be neat and heart breaking for you to go through that process of deciding which partner you don't want anymore (Altough, it would create quite a problem if you picked Luca; so she won't be able to choosen). What I am thinking though is that after a mission. One of the teamates must say behind and activate something but which will kill them...

That would be interesting: near the end of the game, one of the teammates stays behind to detonate something that will destroy their body beyond repair and prevent Luca from reviving them- but taking down a large number of the Cult in the process.

See also the numerous Noctus threads floating around TSoG and TRPG1.
A teammate for each cushion would make sense but it isn't a necessity. I'd like another Psy teammate though.

I agree with MikeW781: Titan Shield isn't extreme, and Set should be a better healer than Duvalier.
