I wish I understood that.... lol
Take a second look I changed a word I miss-typed it.

It's missing commas. lol

No more posts.  Someone please lock it.  I answered the question myself:  You need Set (and presumeably Griffin) to be alive in order to decide to analyze the hallucination.

TSoG / feedback formula
August 24, 2010, 06:14:40 PM
Wow, 3 formula posts.  I think that the feedback damage and health bonus should be at most the health of the opponent (so if they have 1 health point, you do 1 damage and get 1 health point).

P.S. I said this elsewhere, but you gain experience from using Feedback at full health.  I don't think you should.

Shadowlings:

They're faster.

Their primary attack is mental, to which there is no resistance (or at least it's very rare).  Spriggats can't perform mental attacks.

Because their only affinity and resistance is Shadow, they can't quite turn on each other, like the different spriggats could.

Spriggat attacks are all elemental, to which anyone can gain resistance from an elemental shield.

I think that Luca increases her PsP points by
Psy Power + Soul Suck Leve
(this could be added to the wiki)

I think you're right!!  Thanks.  I never realized how complex the soul suck really was.  I modified the Wiki page.

I think the formula for the damage is right (or too close for me to tell the difference). I'm not sure if the result is rounded down or to the nearest integer, though.

It's rounded up!  Because for me, it's 10 x 0.65 = 6.5.  And 6.5 is rounded up to 7 damage.

P.S. Someone should add into every attack (that can be played) Wiki page, the amount of experience gained!

I added in the healing formula for Titan shield to the Wiki page.

Edit: I moved the message here. Ert.

TSoG Bugs / Re: Gaps in and bugs in enemy AI
August 24, 2010, 04:43:16 PM
Hey, I found an example where the AI does nothing but dance around (indefinitely).  Here, the Bandit Raider just moves around the two sides of Arman, while I do nothing each turn.  It's kind of funny!

I have recognized that the AI is programmed to play positionally (it's quite clever in those ways!!).  Perhaps it's playing purely positionally here in this unlikely formation.  I know he's just waiting to get Set or to backstab someone.  But he can't do any of these in ONE turn.  So from his point of view, it's a stalemate (if I don't attack).

P.S. It's in Brutal mode

Just a comment/solution on an old bug in Crypt 2.  If you enter the room with the books and leave, you're stuck in a rock, even if you've equipped the Yellow orb.

One fix that should happen in conjuction with that bug: When you unequip the Yellow orb in the book room, the stairwell should become a rock.  This is a problem because for people who already have 4 orbs, once you grab the Violet Orb, you drop the Yellow Orb!  So if you left after that, you'd be stuck in rock anyway!

Let me say again, cause now you have me confused.... Luca's soul suck increases her Psy points.  (It also damages the opponent.)

How many Psy points does she get?

P.S. I just realized this effect.

In the mission in the cellar, you get Luca even if your personality isn't high enough.  But the funny thing is that if you go to "Manage Team", then you will not have Luca on your team anymore (i.e. you'll only have as many members are your personality allows).

Another thing:  In Crypt 2, in the room with the swinging blades, when the blades aren't exposed, you still hear them....  Was that deliberate?

TSoG / soul suck formula
August 24, 2010, 01:04:06 AM
What's the formula for the number of Psy points Luca gets when she uses Soul Suck?  It's not the same as the attack damage and it's independent of the enemy's health.

You can shoot through a tree.  The only time you can't attack/shoot is when you are right in front of the obstacle.

In Distract the Guards, I killed the bowmen and then the swordsman faces Arman without attacking him.  I almost always play on Normal.

I've noticed that theme elsewhere too: a character could attack, but just chooses not to.  I can only imagine that it was to save on Psy points because an "ambush" on your character would have been non-fatal, and/or to regenerate Psy points.  (But the swordsman doesn't use Psy attacks.)

If the swordsman had faced away from you and had his back to a wall, I'd say it was to avoid a backstab.  (But he faced you.)

There's one other explanation, that might fit, but I don't know if the AI does this:  An enemy chooses "suicide" and tries to appear harmless by not attacking.  If you kill him off the next turn, he'll make room for more enemies (or a stronger or healthier one) that will hurt you more than he could have alone.... it's kind of a stretch, but I've seen it happen, though maybe for a different reason than this.

The only thing that affects whether or not you analyze your hallucination is if Set is dead or alive.  (I dunno how it is if Griffin is dead and Set is alive... I should try that).

Well, I got 16 personality, and didn't talk to the chief until I did.

He won't give me troops.
