Turning off animations - right now, about half (if not more) of the time I spend in missions is waiting for the animations to finish playing. It's no big deal if there's, say, 7-10 units, but if there's over 20 active units, it's a bit much.

EDIT: An AI setting that makes the character stay away from enemies as much as possible. I once had an AI Psy Healer attempt to backstab me, who probably realized he can't attack.

Small question: Can you do something about stalemate situations in local matches? I once had a Photokineticist, a Psy Healer and a Stone Golem left vs. a lone Shadowling, who could cross the water to evade me forever, but he can't beat me in a straight-up fight, especially since the healer could easily undo all damage he does.

EDIT: Theoretically, the shadowling would win (map is Cone of Cold) since only he could really reach the items to boost his resistances and gradually soften the enemies with terror, up to the point where he could beat them easily with Mind Blast. But that would have taken hundreds of turns to pull off.

When I change the game mode to "Generals" or "Capture the Flag", the reinforcement select is overwritten by another, unintelligible option as the two texts overlap.

Even if it's a stealth mission, never assume the player will not be able to rout the map. But yeah, I guess the game should have a trigger for this unlikely event.

Whenever my opponent's turn begins and there's any reason he won't move any units (such as all waiting for me to get closer or everyone in their team is frozen/stunned), the Opponent's Turn notifier stays on-screen indefinitely, leaving me unable to continue. I can't continue the campaign this way since I'm playing a large map with lots of passive units, demanding me to expose my units to enemy attacks at all times.
