im2smart4u- you already wrote exactly the same on the previous page.
See previous page for counter-arguments.

Not sure about that idea, APoC or bugfartboy.

That's one dark picture you're painting there- so freedom which went via abstract routes ends up in a very dodgy, shadowy place. Interesting.
Think of freedom as a bird which can fly (no, not a bald eagle and not the blue bird or the pigeon of peace- just an abstract bird :P).

Just curious if anyone likes tennis on these boards, and if yes, is anyone a "fan"? 'Cause right now it's the US Open going in full swing with some interetsing results.

On the women's side, sadly, Russian seeds fell all over the place leaving only Zvonareva (recent Wimbledon runner-up) standing. I don't really think she has that extra class to go against Clijsters or Williams, but who knows? The Dane is riding strong and I, along with many others, feel that it will be difficult to stop her (Cibulkova and , potentially, Zvonareva in the way of the final - much, much easier deal than mauling through Clijsters/Stosur and Sciavone/Williams combination (c'mon, seeds 2,3,5,6 on one side, and Dane as seed 1 versus unseed Slovak followed by seed 7 or seed 31!).

Youzhniy surprises (pleasantly) in the men's side, taking the mantle of Russian hopes whilst Davydenko (our perennial top 5-er) is struggling back with a wrist injury. Swiss Wawrinka just accounted for the last American on the man's side of the draw. Quite impressive really that Switzerland has 2 players in the last 16, whilst USA has none. Spain is still riding high and well, though Robredo is out. Nadal is still going strong. Monfils ensures a frenchman is in serious contention for the first time in 10 years. Nice to see top 3 seeds doing well. I wonder how Fed will fare against Sod- hopefully will make up for the loss at Roland Garros. Same with Novak- I'd like to see Fed and him clash in the semis for the 3rd straight year (though I would've much preferred to see a Novak-Nadal battle in the semis). Hoping there Youzhniy, being 12th seed, can make it past Wawrinka (25th seed), especially as he just had to play a tough 4 setter against Murray followed by a 5 setter against battling Querry (admittedly, on the other hand the Russian player had 4 setters in the last 3 matches).

TSoG Wish List / Re: Formulated Orb Ideas

An idea that has about 2/3 backing it a bit:

-mental resistance orb (though there is an issue with several attacks being not classified e.g. Spore Cloud)

TSoG Wish List / Re: New attacks for teammates

Jump'n'stab: yay just because it adds variety and may be used in same way as Griffin's backhander or a Long Shield. It may not be used all the time, but there will come situations where it will be handy.

Parry and Riposte: nay, same reasons as Ert.

Future Knowledge: nay, too difficult to explain how she can work out what will happen next- as far as we know, she does not have the temporal Sight.

Griffin Rend: nay, it's not in his character to fight dirty and weaken an enemy- that's more Arman's style.

Gah, I am tied with the random stranger! How on Earth did I end up in this?! Eh, me and my sense of humour! :P

Duskling: I am just saying that I think that I find this thread as ridiculous as you find the option of a random stranger in the poll. ;)
(Sorry if that was a bit complicated the first time around!)

PS
Go free thinking! It's good for you! Don't be part of the mass! Think!!! :P

PPS
I'll be watching you from the shadow of the mask of the ever-present Guest the next two weeks! :P

TSoG Wish List / Re: New Orb Ideas

That would be mental resistance, bugfartboy.

Ok, right now it's 6 "yays", two of them quite lukewarm, versus 3 "nays", just barely on the line for cutting it in- there is quite a large nay minority. I'll add it to formulated.

Now, can all kindly and clearly vote on the issue of the immunity/resistance orb please?
Personally, I would find the orb much more useful/powerful if it affected immunities as well as resistances- for resistances you deal damage to an enemy anyway, but there are some battles in TPA2 where a certain immunity would mean that some teams were not able to beat a single enemy and required special teammates! Thus, I strongly oppose the idea of dropping immunities (although it is a rather neat solution to the problem, im2smart4u), and try to decide whether we should include inanimate objects on the list of things whose immunities are reduced to resistance status by he orb's effects (for Duvalier only).

I don't really like an idea of an orb which affects teammates as well as Duvalier, Ert- sorry about that, but it's  a "nay" from me.

TSoG Wish List / Re: Somnus Wishlist
September 07, 2010, 04:58:14 PM
1. A Light Spriggat NPC that can be asked about her color, like Lala
2. One can buy reconstruction bonds at the Shadowlands National Bond Office
3. Niven as a successful showman that performs at the Barracks
4. Darkling & Shadowboxer at their bar, the Barracks (the TRPG2 headquarters)
5. Nightling at the Somnus Public Library
6. A former shadowling sympathizers who was secretly supporting the Dissidents during the Shadow War
7. The Parliament in the Queen's Palace (maybe Senator Cerzak)
8. Spriggats flying through the streets like Shadowlings.
9. Festus at his own clinic
10. Malis' Mansion
11. The hidden headquarters of the Assassin's Cult   (maybe have that as an Easter Egg, folks?)
12.The Military Academy General Darkeye & Cezak went to

Also, methinks one way to do this would be to add up the numbers of the ideas, and then find the avergaes across all people voting: those with lowest number will be the ideas folks would like to see most. Try to be honest and think of what you want to have- quite a few of those ideas are close calls anyway, and chances are, the full list will be formulated, but it will be great to show Craig what we really want to see, and what we don't really mind not being implemented at all.

TSoG Wish List / Re: New Enemy Ideas

I think if we are to add a new animal, we'll have to very carefully think over why we are doing so and what's the reason for us to add that animal into TSoG.
For instance, we've discussed expanding the Shadow Bug set. We also came up with new animals for Gelf pets (the bird). The Tig came around because people agreed that there should be something between the Energy Golem and an inanimate object. What reason can we give for another animal?

Right now I cannot think of an enemy set where we can plunk in an enemy with a light-based attack.

Interesting look on the situation. I guess the Arman question will also depend on whether Duvalier joins up the Order of the Black Rose or not.

Rahel- good point, she can be emotionally fragile- how often have we seen one keeping an icy edifice crack under pressure when it is too much!

General Discussion / Re: Vacation!
September 07, 2010, 04:47:34 PM
I know, this is unfortunate, but the last half-a-year have been really busy- had exams, had a full-time summer job with loads of guests chez moi making it difficult to keep track of things. Now I am going on (what I think is) a well-deserved vacation.

Good that thee haven't forgotten my humble persona!

On the off-topic: the new posts will no longer count, but, unfortunately, like in the games section, all posts made prior to the stop still count. Thus, if you want to see how useful someone was, just have a look at the stats on their profile and see how many posts they made in the games/general discussion and other sections.
