Plus, think of all the places in Cera Bella the Hero had to go to gather all the orbs.  In TRPG1, he didn't leave the area around the Psy Academy.

Don't forget that TRPG1 was his first public Flash project- the Telepath universe was just becoming filled with characters and events. Plus, this is just an introduction, and there is no need for any of the orbs yet- the gameplay is pretty straight-forward, without any of the complicating variables, even the battle-engine is different and much simpler. The project then evolved into something grander, which became TRPG2 in the end.
