Gearing up for the next big update

Soon–within the next few weeks–I’m going to release an updated version of Telepath RPG: Servants of God.

Starting with that update, the game is going to be distributed exclusively as an AIR installer, meaning that it can be installed and played on any computer that runs Windows, Mac or Linux. This will make the game available in its intended form for Mac and Linux users, save me a ton of time with distributing the game, and in the process, help me give the game more frequent updates.

To keep getting updates, anyone who has installed the Windows version already will need to reinstall using the AIR installer once I release it. If you’ve purchased the game already, you’ll be able to reactivate the game using the same instructions you received when you first purchased it. (Contact me if you can’t find the file with your activation instructions.)

I’ll be keeping the browser demo online for those who enjoy playing that way, but due to the fact that I had to break the game apart, I won’t be able to update it anymore. The AIR installer is going to be the sole means of getting the latest version of the game from now on.

In Other News…

I’ve been making steady progress on breaking apart the game engine. Everything is running much more smoothly now, giving me some breathing room to add in more goodies. As a present to you all, I’ve added in a new attack that can temporarily paralyze enemies. It’s called Mind Shock. Check it out:

If I’m not mistaken, this brings the total number of attacks your characters can use in battle to 55. Not too shabby.
