Title: TSOG Endings

Well I'm think it would be a good guess to say that the game will end with the little character overview things, as in TRPG 2, as we all love them and they are a pretty good way to end these games. So just for fun, what do you think they could be for the team mates in TSOG?

For example:

Set, done with the resistance, has settled back into Ravinale as a world renown physician. With his track as a war hero and the gold flowing in from his practice, he has no troubles with the ladies anymore.

Malis

After she the cult was finished, she went back to selling spices and instansly made another fourtune. She used her reconation from helping Ravinville to expand her business to all of Cera Bella

RollingInIt (we all know who that is ;P) Dualiver and Rahel Dualiver(dialog with Griffen, eventually theres an option for the hero to have an interest in Rahel): after crushing the cult and freeing their parents, they found a nice quiet place to live out the rest of their lives and Rahel, thanks to the wonder of psy abilities was able to get over her childhood horrors.

heh heh i know its a bit outlandish but somebody had to do it ;) {not really XP}

Griffin: After the Cult was defeated, he remade the guards, and now sits as the General of the Ravinale Guard.

the beggar: after receiving hundreds of coins from the hero, he was able to start a small company that made rugs and pottery. the company took off and eventually moved to the Rubat clan (of which he was apart of) and the Rubat clan became the richest clan outside of Ravinale.

yet another interesting out of the box thinking idea by yours truly.

You know, rainen, I don't think the beggar is such a big person, so he probably won't be featured in the closing words of TSoG, methinks.

Baz: after the Cult was overthrown and Baz got his wealth back, he continued on from where he left off before the Cult took power, happily enjoying his position as the richest man in Ravinale.

tiki: after a few therapy sessions, tiki was deemed "sane" and lived a happy life as any normal scorpion would.

i know. im saving the important characters for people with less imagination then myself :). its quite brilliant in my eyes.

Including the beggar(and other minor characters) would be a nice Easter Egg. His richness depending upon how many times you gave him money, That would also be an interesting stat to include.

I am not sure that would be sending a right message- what with the beggar becoming a millionaire and all, and taking to the Cult, reporting on Duvalier to the Guards. He is essentially living off money he didn't earn in any way, and by his attitude he seems to expect people to give him money for doing nothing. That, methinks, is not worthy of any reward, monetary of otherwise.

I understand, but it's not really that comic- him becoming a millionaire- how about him learning something like dancing or singing and trying to imitate the Opera Twins on the streets? :)

if you'd care to refer to my previous post, the beggar gained his millions off of merely hundreds of coins. he made pottery with the help of the rubat clan.

I have seen it, and I still have the same issue of him gaining money over nothing in the first place- he is certainly no help to the Hero.
How about a nice little blend then: he tries to sing like the opera twins, that gives him enough starting cash to start making pottery, and voila- he no longer is a beggar. ;)

Duvalier: After the threat of the Cult was eliminated, he thought he could have a peaceful life (with his new wife, Rahel Duvalier, if she survives), but things are never as they seem, as a new threat arose in the farther reaches of Cera Bella...

I think it would be better if the cult found out he was helping the fight against the cult and was executed in public. In all the great movies the annoying the rich and the stupid dies. Especially the annoying person.

You know what would be a great idea if the cult demolishes their base kills a few important allies and then when the hero destroys the cult Yawah comes out of thin air and revives all that was killed and grants the hero a wish. Or when he comes out he says a bunch of the stuff that is significant to the plot and resets time so that this never happens.

Great ideas can come from anything, anyone, or any where. I got the last one from The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hour Glass. You know the game is kind of design like the newer Legend of Zelda series it has missions but it also enables free movement. TSoG has psy powers in Legend of Zelda has magical armor swords hour glass a hat, fairy, and etc. I've played a lot of Zelda games in my life.

Wouldn't the Resistance, needing Baz's Cellar as a hideout, go to save him?  And in case you didn't notice, this is not Telepath: The Movie.  Ooh! Great idea! Must go write script....

About the killing of 'a few important allies': Luca could just revive them.  Although I suppose it's possible CraigStern might remove a player from the game, he did that with Rahel after all.  Unless you mean the freed prisoners and the (optional) 50 Marid Clan members, who aren't really important in my opinion.

I guess that is possible using some sort of important event to remove a character. Maybe he will create a level so impossible it kills one lone character.

@Tastidian: But they could still be alive.  Luca can revive your teammates no matter how many times they've been killed.  He can't create a level that forces death on a teammate because of grinding.  The only way I can think of it is one of your teammates gets pushed into Fawaz's Gorge or something like that, and Luca can't find the body.

Good point, that! There is also a possibility of the body being taken by the superior enemy force or, for some reason, Luca refusing to revive a teammate due to some significant, plot-affecting (or not) circumstances in a cut-scene.

I'd like a "partial mystery" type of ending. As in, you get the picture if you think about what will happen next, but still, something doesn't fit, something that will be explained in the next(?) game.

I like the premise of the first mass effect where you had to choose which one of your teamates had to stay behind and take the blast. I think it would be neat and heart breaking for you to go through that process of deciding which partner you don't want anymore (Altough, it would create quite a problem if you picked Luca; so she won't be able to choosen). What I am thinking though is that after a mission. One of the teamates must say behind and activate something but which will kill them...

I like things like that too but they have to be explained in the next game or else my imagination will run off wild thinking of all the possibilities and then I would stay up longer.

Hmm i'm loving this thought not really that hard for me to choose I mean it is a game just choose the least useful and powerful.

So a Fallout 3 type ending so to speak if you've ever played that.

No I haven't but yes it would make for a good ending but not to the game maybe to the third or second last mission so that you can't use that character during the final boss fight!

I'm not challenging you, but why would Rahel marry Duvalier? Hehe I think it would be an very interesting reason...

I like where there is a vague reference of the Team's future.  That way there is some hint of their future, while most is left to speculation of the gamer.  Criag did a good job with TRPG2.  For example: We know that Guy and Anya become successful in the future with the epilogue, while allowing us to speculate on a possibble relationship between the two.
