Title: Download Broken? (Mac)
Post by: CalaNat on May 10, 2023, 10:13:11 PM
Hi there,

In the off chance someone sees this -

I remember spending hours playing the Telepath games on Kongregate as a kid, and was feeling nostalgic so I looked up Sinister and was stoked to see that TSOG was still for sale. Thought I'd try the demo first and make sure if I can get it working my old Mac (OS 10.14), but no luck. I had no trouble installing Air, the TechSpot link worked just fine. I also didn't see any of the errors in old forum posts and the FAQ (no "installer file is damaged" error). Everything goes smoothly until I start the game, and it immediately crashes with a "TSOG has quit unexpectedly" message. I tried uninstalling both and turning the clock back anyway, but it didn't work. I also tried changing the clock mid process and installing only Air 'in 2016' then TSOG in 2023, and vice versa.

Crash logs say Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (Code Signature Invalid)

Are there any new instructions to be had? Or is the game too old to support now?

Hi CalaNat! This sounds like an issue with the way that Mac OS is interacting with Adobe Air--issues like this were known to occur back back around the time this game came out (see e.g. here (https://community.adobe.com/t5/air-discussions/adobe-air-crashes-on-any-application-startup-on-mac-os-x-10-5-8/m-p/3419072)).

Although Air is no longer supported by Adobe, it is supposedly still being developed and supported by Harman (https://airsdk.harman.com/). Maybe someone there can shed some light on the issue?

Hi!  Thanks for the response.  I followed the Harman link and did a bit of poking around.  It looks like the issue I was experiencing was related to the AIR download from TechSpot.

I found the Harman page to download the runtime app - https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime
There are two versions, the latest + an older version that still contains WebKit.  The latest version prompted the same errors, but build 33 with Webkit is working.

I hope anyone else with the same problem can benefit from this thread!

This is the right blog for anybody who wants to search out out about this topic. You realize a lot its virtually arduous to argue with you (not that I actually would need...HaHa). You positively put a new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Nice stuff, just nice!Thank you for another wonderful article. Wherever else could anyone get that kind of info in this type of an ideal way of writing? I've got a presentation next week, and Im round the search for these info.

Despite trying a number of scam-reporting websites, Report a scam assistance center (https://oktotocommunity.com/) and sbcnews (https://sbcnews.co.uk/) are reliable every time. While the latter provides proven Toto recommendations, the former uses timelines and screenshots to dissect fraudulent tactics. In a dangerous area, their emphasis on preventing online scams truly fosters trust.

I previously signed up for a betting site that appeared legitimate but was actually a payoff fraud. I now always look for fraud reports on eatrunquarantine (https://eatrunquarantine.com/) before registering. I also thought agem (https://www.agem.org/) was quite useful because it ranks Toto sites according on user experience and safety. Much safer now.

For anyone looking to stay safe while betting online, I suggest checking Tools available on the Platform (https://meta-metacritic.net) for scam alerts and fraud updates. I also use gamingamerica (https://gamingamerica.com/) to verify Toto platforms. These two resources have been instrumental in keeping me safe from fraudulent sites and ensuring I bet on verified platforms.

How do you stay safe when betting online? I use Platform Safety Solutions (https://politicadeverdade.com/) for scam alerts and fca (https://www.fca.org.uk/scamsmart) to verify Toto platforms. This two-step process has worked great for me in avoiding scams. I'd love to hear what other strategies or resources people use to ensure their betting is secure.

Just a quick question for individuals who enjoy safe betting: do you typically look through 아도온카 (https://adoagtonca.com/) for fraud reports? I do it before to registering. After that, I verify the website's confirmed Toto status on vixio (https://www.vixio.com/). I am curious whether anyone else follows a similar two-step procedure.

I have tested a number of verification resources, and Official Community forum (https://thebrennanhouse.org) consistently reports new scams. By selecting trustworthy Toto websites, sportshandle (https://sportshandle.com/) pairs flawlessly. I wish I had discovered this combination sooner—certainly reliable tools.

The majority of the "scam prevention" resources I have evaluated are insufficient. However, Our range of Safety Solutions (https://tobadge.com/) is among the few that regularly identifies dubious websites early. It works well with vegasinsider (https://www.vegasinsider.com/)
, which suggests trustworthy Toto platforms. They make a powerful defense when combined.
