Poll
Question:
Would you rather see TRPG4 or a remake of one of the previous games?
Option 1: TRPG4
Option 2: Remake of TRPG1
Option 3: Remake of TRPG2
Option 4: Alternate plotline sequel to TRPG2 (see below)
I know TSoG probably won't be finished for a while, but when it is, would you rather see a remake of one of the first two Telepath Games or a new, fourth game? Or, a sequel to TRPG2 where the main sided with Tastidian and the Shadowlings?
I'd like a remake of the second game due to all the new features (more orbs, better AI, more attacks, overall better everything.)
Random suggestion by Duskling: make a game about the plot of the RP Nation of Hubras. Opinions on that?
I'd like a remade TRPG2, it was fun by itself anyway, but I'd love to see it updated.
its been too soon to remake TRPG2. Its got the same basic look as TSoG. If you're gonna remake a game remake TRPG1. Maybe a slightly different plot line, longer game you know that kind of stuff. I loved the ninja mission though where you sneaked around the camp avoiding the shadowlings :P
Well, the problem with remaking TRPG1 was that there was only one mission. Thus to make it a good length, you would need either more missions, and I'm not sure how much more you can stuff into 'saving David', or a heck of a lot of sidequests.
What about a prequel to TRPG1?
saving david could be the last mission and the game starts off with the hero as a red cape.
Maybe the game can start with him graduating to Blue Cape? Since Red Capes are only taught theory... And maybe Piter could be a teammate?

By the time TSoG is done, hopefully not! (Not that I'm hoping it'll take a long time, actually, I am since I won't be able to buy it, but that's beside the point, it'll probably have a few more missions, at least hopefully). Besides, I like the storyline and the Malignus feature.
TRPG4 project has been mentioned before, and re-doing TRPG2 and TRPG1, it seems a lot will depend on how well TSoG does, and then Craig will decide where to develop after that, I suspect.
In any case, having a prequel to TRPG1 seems like a neat little addendum, but I doubt that will come to fruition any time soon (even after TSoG) as it seems like that little extra for hard-core fans, rather than something that may have universal appeal like TSoG (methinks that will have to wait until the time when Telepath series gains larger recognition).
Maybe you can make the Nation of Hubras game into the next TRPG?
That'd be interesting, if of course the RP doesn't die. That would fall under TRPG4.
Myself, I am not really keen on non-canon stuff, especially a forums-game getting into TRPG4. I'd rather see individual fan efforts of great creativity (eg Barzul's couple of missions) get in, if they're of very high quality, whilst things like forum games can be quite uneven.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I think what would be a good idea is to continue on from the two choices in TRPG2 to side with Tastidian or go against him. The starting should be a little intro then you get to choose either to attack the academy or the shadowlings. Then they battle against who ever they choose. But the hero will have enough power to easily take out either side. Then continue on from that. I don't think it would be a good choice to just continue on with the war or just make tasks depending on which side they are on. The hero after defeating either side should suddenly get hit with a powerful attack from a foe and have amnesia. That might tie it up with TSoG if you think about it (not that hard to think about).
I voted for TRPG4, but a prequel to chapter 1 also seems intresting. It would be cool to see more of thier everyday lives instead of a lot of running and fighting. But I defenatly want TRPG4 without it takes like five years.
I think the next project should be something new like Telepath Adventure: (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/Telepath_Adventure:_Shadowling_Assassin) Shadowling Assassin (http://www.sinisterdesign.net/TelepathAdventureShadowlingAssassin.html).
I still think he should stick with the Telepth franchise.
I agree, I would like to see Shadowling Assassin as a real game. This poll is about the fourth Telepath RPG game, though- what are your thoughts on that?
Hmm, I say that he should make a sequel to TRPG 2.

Hmm, I say that he should make a sequel to TRPG 2.
Do you mean a remake?
No, a sequel. TSOG is unrelated, and I believe that there is still some future in the TRPG 'series'.
Well, given that TSoG happens significantly after TRPG2, we'll more or less know what historically happened after TRPG2, so would a sequel really work?
I do think it would be nice to continue expanding the Telepath universe- I think it has still a lot to offer. I remember suggesting that, for instance, since all the telepath chapters touch upon somre "controversial" topics, like chpater 2 on types of government and TSoG on religion and government, I thought that there is space for, let's say, environment via Gelves, or something like that.
Perhaps you could play as a Gelf?
That would be interesting- who says the main has to be human?
It would have a much different strategy, instead of being a potential powerhouse, he'd be someone who runs away and summons allies.
How about a game with a girl as a main? That would be fair just to even it out seeing as we've had 1.5 male mains and 0.5 girls.
What about starwars. They went forwards and backwards through time in creating their stories all the time. (KOTOR? and other similar appearances?)
Also Mechquest= Pre-Dragonfable= Pre-Battleon
though they were made as Battleon > Dragonfable > Mechquest.
There are tons of games with prequels and such.
I think there's room for a game or two. Actually, two spin off games, one for each of the choices. TSOG appears so far in the future that it doesn't matter what happened in TRPG2. History repeats itself, the repeated rise and fall of heroes and Tyrants stains our own history.
Well, I think there is certainly room enough to have the protagonist of a non-human race- I did once suggest of having a Shadowling as the protagonist in a mini-game.
In any case, there is still lots to draw from and surely the map can be expanded in all 4 directions as well? ;)
As long as Craig has the creativity, the time and the desire to share his opinions with us,methinks we might be seeing more of the Telepath universe in the future.
I would like to see an alternate timeline of the events after TRPG 2. I think that if Craig did the same characters execpt in the alternate timeline it would be great. Even more, he could have one of the missions in TSoG to travel to the alternate timeline (with the help of Maglinus of course)!
Hah, there is certainly no doubt about having more possibilities.
Craig has wonderfully created an entire functioning world. Besides all the lands yet uncovered, this world has history as well. And a future. There are many more stories yet to tell. The question is if there is the time to tell them.
Well... I have an idea. What about the possibility to choose race? In that case, humans, spriggats and shadowlings would be natural, but races like shadow bugs, wood-folks and scorpions could also be intresting. That means the world is still the same (some areas might be exclusive for one race, but it´s still the same) but characters will treat you differently depending on race. What do you think, folks?
I think choosing a race would effectively making as many games as there will be playable races- it might be inetersting to have: TRPG-H; TRPG-G; TRPG-S, etc where you have Telepath RPG- Human; Telepath RPG- Gelf and so on. But really, race selection will only quadruple, if not quintiple the amount of work Craig has to do.
Of course, there has been suggestions for making it themed off one of the forum game RPs. In that case, the basic background of Apocalyptic might be suitable. In any case, it might be a good idea to join!
Lets just hope it continues for ever even long after we are all dead. By then we would all know and enjoy the game by Craig's great great granddaughter or grandson.
Bugfartboy thinks a prequel would be nice. He's interested In pre-shadowwar history.

That was kind of the only good thing...
I think the next game shouldn't be an RPG. He should try something new instead of repeating the old stuff. Then agian, it would be hard to abandon the game engine after working on it for so long.
Do you mean to say that it should be a Defense Game, or a point-and-click, or a platformer?
These are the only things outside of RPG I am familiar with.
Maybe he could use the Ham Sandwich RPG or Telepath Adventure: Shadowling Assassin (http://www.sinisterdesign.net/TelepathAdventureShadowlingAssassin.html) game engine instead of the current turn-base-strategy game.
Ah, a platformer. I love those! I can honestly say I am hugely in favor of being a :-*.
