How do you download the file?
That's easy: I've enabled it on these forums so that you can attach .sol files directly to your post. Your maps will remain hosted on the Sinister Design server, so you never have to worry about some third party file hosting service deleting your work. :)
Just click the Additional Options link below when you're typing a reply, then Attach your .sol file directly to the post. The file will then appear for everyone else who reads this thread to download.
How do you make a battle to post?
play telepath rpg chapter 3 and go to map editor mode at the bottome
For some reason when searching, I find only the individual files, not the folder.
I'm making a campaign, KZ-style, about the Psy Academy.
How do we get these maps onto the C: drive? I can't find them no matter how hard I look, also, do they have some sort of folder or something?
KZ: please see attached pic for how to attach pics (and other stuff). :)
Duskling: just download them to your hard drive.
I'm sorry if it seems that I'm changing my point over and over, but I meant our maps, the ones that we made: example: I've just completed a map, and want to show it to others, but I can't, since I don't know how to get it onto my Hard Drive.
Search for it, Duskie-poo, it's something like TelepathRPG3 something something .sol. You might need to turn on non-indexed, hidden and system filed.
Turns out I'm a hypocrite. Can't find it through searching. Does anyone know the directory path thingy? Is it in Program Files?
Alright then, where do you recommend I start, then? (Other than the C: drive.)
I'm searching in Program Files since that's where I last recall seeing them. What operating system do you have? I have Vista.
Same here, Vista.
Attached is a picture showing the file path to all the game's .sol files on Vista on my machine.
(If you're playing the browser demo, you'd go into sinisterdesign.net instead of localhost, and the last node on the file path would be TSoG.swf--but everything before that should be the same.)
I found it but there wasn't anything in there... not that I would know, I couldn't even open the folder.
Make sure you've got Windows' Folder Options set to view hidden files and folders. (Folder Options is accessible from Control Panel.)

X-X...
Ok, I am reaaaally getting confused here, honestly- am I blind, or am I blind? I cannot see an attachment anywhere on the post, on the thread, or around the thread (and I tried different browsers just in case). Could a kind soul take a screenshot of the page with attached files, circle their location in Paint, and upload a pic and link to it directly below? Thank you in advance!
When posting, if you click Additional Options (which is just above the Topic Summary), one of the options is attach. Not sure if this is what you're looking for.
And that one I don't have either... just out of curiosity, how many tick-boxes appear for you when you click on additional options?
(For some time I had a sneaky suspicion that there is a bug lurking around.)
When I click Additional Options I have:

Don't use smiley
and below that the option to attach stuff.
Aha...I don't have that last option, for some reason, despite having a thorough look on many an occaison. Cheers Bromtaghon. I'll post/download the battles in the old-fashioned way ;)
It's just cause CraigStern likes me better. :)
Campaign coming soon... it's about a bunch of possessed capes that try to take over the Psy Academy.
Once I get to FZBABRLT (my equivalent of 8WQ6C5TN), I can't find localhost or sinisterdesign.net.
Ugh! Some times I hate to learn the complications of the computer.

I can find sinisterdesign.net now, but it's only got the TSoG save files, not any maps. Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm playing through (and that means manually reconstructing) KZ's D-Day Campaign (http://sinisterdesign.freepowerboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1030&start=30). Quite fun.

Yep, that's me.

Good- I thought I was the only one.
Anyways, D-Day is very hard with the SME team, but maybe that's because of poor strategy.
What is this "Version%20015.swf?"
Man it takes forever to find that file you have to enable the hidden file thing and search everywhere.
I found the maps... only for a second, at first it was TSoG.sol or something, then it turned back into TRPG3.swf or .sol or whatever.
Update: I got past my "Can't find the files" problem, I made a shortcut containing them all, but I can't properly open them now, whenever I click on it, it turns to Internet Explorer. I think I did something wrong with the files.
Update: It says: "Open with Internet Explorer," I think this is the problem.
I don't think you open them. You just copy and paste them, or attach them to a post.
Ok, I guess I'll try that.
