Title: hallucination aptitude
Post by: mezzoforte on August 11, 2010, 06:26:30 PM
It seems to me that you need 15 aptitude in order to "think about"/analyze your hallucination after the bandit boss.  Anyone else find that?

Edit: The only thing that affects whether or not you analyze your hallucination is if Set is dead or alive.

What does it mean?

I think that it means that your ability to observe and understand things is great. Or did you mean what did the hallucination mean?

I'll have to play again. I'll update this post when I get the chance. It might not be for a while so if anyone wants to do it, feel free.

A hallucination (http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=24171) is something someone senses when there is nothing there.  It is a delusion when you believe the hallucination is real.

He meant in game. Also, it signifies Duvaliers development to the point where he can have an affinity.

Really?  I thought it was "supposedly" Yawah (compare to his mother's experience).

So did you see a connection between the hallucination imagery and having an affinity?

I thought so too, as at some point you say that it signifies danger at some point.

Hm. It seemed divine-ish, but I associated it with your affinity, which you got right after. It would be a real twist if you got your affinity because of Yawah.

Did you really think I didn't know what a hallucination is?

On a different note: Or could be exactly what rahel said but than again why the high level aptitude. I've all ready read the thing at least ten times. Way before this topic but I have no other theory that the ones already posted.

Dayn asked what a hallucination is, im2smart4u explained, and then PinkPanzer replied asking im2smart4u if he really thought that he didn't know what a hallucination is, take a look at im2smart4u's post.

Oh- i didn't noticed Dayn asked, but Pink Panzer answered. Maybe Pink Panzer has a double account  ;D
He probably just meant to say "Did you really think I HE didn't know what a hallucination is?"

Mike, I think that the affinity is unrelated to the hallucination.  The Nameless One congratulates you on doing well, and asks you a question to determine your natural tendency or inclination.  That's when it's listed as your affinity.

True. I was probably mistaken, but I felt like the hallucination might have been a message signifying you of your breakthrough

It is so dream-like that it too difficult to explain.  Beat Jabbar to find out for yourself.

I should probably close this topic, because I just realized that it's completely false.  You might not need any aptitude to analyze the halucination.   ::)
I guess I just clicked the wrong selection in the dialogue by accident before.

Are you completely certain it's false? Have you been through the conversation with around maybe six or less aptitude?

No I asked what the hallucination is  not what it is and I asked its just the quote thing.

Well I just did it with 12 apt.  I don't want to figure out if it works at lower aptitude.  I'm just saying that I don't think aptitude is relevant, since you're not doing mindreading....

The only thing that affects whether or not you analyze your hallucination is if Set is dead or alive.  (I dunno how it is if Griffin is dead and Set is alive... I should try that).

Why is this made so much more difficult that it needs to be. Dayn asked im2smart4u also stated what a hallucination is but I thought he meant me that I don't know what it meant.

No more posts.  Someone please lock it.  I answered the question myself:  You need Set (and presumeably Griffin) to be alive in order to decide to analyze the hallucination.
