Folks, seems like quite a few topics get locked these days by users who start the threads in order to avoid going off-topic, but how about either leaving them be, or simply locking them up, without writing many posts about how the topic is locked? I just saw an 8-post thread with 4 (!) posts about how this topic is about to be locked, ready, locked. This does increase incredibly the post count for some users by quite a bit.
I think it's best to keep everything in one thread so people know exactly where to look and what to say ;)
Plus, it will clutter up the forums less.
