Speaking of Indie game makers, what are they? 8 ???
You mean, what are indie game developers? I agree with the definition that currently appears on Wikipedia:
QuoteIndependent video games (commonly referred to as indie games) are video games created by individuals or small teams without video game publisher financial support. Indie games often focus on innovation and rely on digital distribution. Indie gaming has seen a rise in the last years, primarily due to new online distribution methods and development tools.
Ah, I see. Thanks Craig!
Speaking of Indie Game Developers: Craig's my role model!!! I wanna be just like him... Well, excluding the lawyering. Sorry Craig!
Do you presently make games? If so, I'd be interested to see an Indie Bug production.
Right now, no. I know nothing of programming. I'm hoping to learn sometime in the near future. Maybe if Craig ever comes out with his book?
I'm on page 314 of it. It'll come out eventually. ;)
314 out of how many? Or will you say?
However many pages it takes to contain all the things I want in it. How many that will be, it's impossible to say. I'm well more than halfway done with it, though.
I'm a freelance game artist, so far I only work with DD, but with time I'll get more business, not to mention a salary.
I'll pay you as soon as I require your art, and I've made some money with my games.
... that could take a while.
ahh, until then what was that site you mentioned?
Edit- I remembered it, They don't hook artists up with developers, possibly because the logistics would be difficult for long disttance partnerships, especially because I have almost no means of travel. ahh, se la vi.
I didn't realize we had quite a few game devs. I say what games have you made and by you I mean the both of you. This changes my pov.
He hasn't made any games, and I haven't made any good enough to be published. Go to Game Development section >> Maelstrom the Game to see my game.
I've been searching for a partnership, but I'm not a programmer. I'm an artist. I'm still "working" on my portfolio and by working I mean putting it off.
So I guess it's not quite fair to say that the cat hasn't made any games; in all likelihood, Kitty never will.
It's just that I don't quite have a use for his micro-raster-art. Anything he does with raster art that is that small, I could probably just do, using less space and more efficiency, with vector art that I made for myself. The only kind of art I'd be looking for from him is large-scale raster art, preferable something in the range of a hundred or two wide and tall (hint).
The point is, Kitty likes to use Paint to make art pixel-by-pixel, and I will need something out of Photoshop or another art program. Something big. Sorry, cat.
I've actually started working bigger as of late to make my logo because I've got a good feeling about a couple of deals., but I still intend to keep a somewhat pixelated look.
