Do you like those new portraits that Craig showed us some days ago? I really don´t. All the characters look like big, fat drunks! They look completly repulsive! Does anyone agree me?
Your completely wrong. The new portraits make the characters look real and relatable, while the old portaits were kinda plain and didn't leave much of an impression.

I agree. They new portraits add to the games realism and help with Craigs goal to make this game compete with major , non-flash systems. You can already tell he is personally putting more effort and care into this than most major developers. (I.E. Infantry Ward and CoD MW2)
Griffin looks slightly strange, but the others seem to be okay.
everyone looks cool with the new potraits to me
Griffin's smug smile is almost half gone! >:(

Realism whould be bad for telepath. The major games will still be more realistic. For Final fantasy XIII, for example, the developers spent hundrads of millions to make it realistic! There are lots of major games that look better than the telepath series will ever do, at least in the next ten years.
The point is, why make a game that tries to look realistic but just looks ugly? If telepath should grow big, it can´t be through realism.
I actually like the portraits they look really lifelike which makes the game better!
I've not seen the rest of the teams/npc's portraits but i bet they'll be soo cool =] ;)
I don't like the new Duvalier portrait, because he looks too ghostly. His creepy appearance makes him look like a villain.
Arman, Griffin, and Beggar look alot better with the new portaits.
I agree... (Insert Name Here) Looks like a ghost with blue eyes! I hope he dosen't come to haunt me :(
Makes him look evil... hmm... maybe his appearance could change through dialogue choices? That would be neat.^^
Yeah the portraits faces could change like if Duvalier was angry he could change into an angry pose.
Happy = Happy Pose
etc.
i like how fernatis and malis look with there new portraits and your dad has quite a resemblence to mario and he looks kind of silly
Well torugo it'd be AWWWWWESOME if he had a red hat with an M on it and mario's clothes :D
HAHAHA no it's not.
Yes, Father looks like Mario, it's absurd. I dislike the Set portrait, I don't know why...
i figured set would be a little more tan
I think Duvalier needs a tan more than Set does, seriously, he looks like he's suffering from major bloodloss.
Or he looks like CraigStern's going to throw in a huge surprise, make Duvalier adopted, and make him a half-vampire.
Sounds logical... kinda.

Set doesn't seem like the athletic outdoorsman, I imagine him to be a little pail.

Unlike Set, Duvalier is caucasian, so he needs to look white.
Yeah, but isn't that a bit too white?

The noble bookworm probably spends much of his time indoors.
A little too much time indoors?
They live in the middle of a desert. They should be tan.
Maybe Duvalier suffers from a rare diease that ultraviolet (UV) rays just bounce of his skin and he can never get tanned. I do have to admit though, pale white skin, black hair, and blueish eyes, he could be a vampire (Major Plot Twist!).
If he were a vampire, wouldn't he have died already, what with the desert sun and all?
He doesn't die, he just... sparkles.
Seriously, though. He looks like he's just seen a ghost. Then again, having met Luca, he has.
Duvalier's picture is the only one I'm having an issue with so far, he's too white, if arrived when he was 13 or something, that means he's been there for 3-5 years, more than enough to get a slight tan!!!
I agree, but at least they're better than the black-and-whites, which are better than the originals. In fact, I like the alternate portraits (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/Portraits_(TRPG3,_Alternate)) the best, except that a) Duvalier reminds me of Prince Caspian and b) Set looks like a girl.
a) Very true, b) I thought Set was a girl first time I saw him, and I think Andrew did, too.

Andrew wanted Set to be a girl and he also drew the portraits before Malis was revealed as a women.

How many people thought set was a girl or think set should be a girl.
He looks like a chick, but he shouldn't be one. Either the name should be made to be more obviously male, or the portrait could be edited
I think Set needs to be a dude, because it would be harder to laugh at the fat jokes if Set was a women.
Chief Hamzah's (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/File:Chief_Hamzah.JPG) baggy eyes make him look either stressed, tired, or completely stoned. (I have money on stressed).
Imran (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/File:Imran.JPG) swelling would make me pitty him, if he didn't want to steel Umma's stones.

I think you mean "kill Tikki," unless I couldn't get to that point since my autoseaves or saves wouldn't load.
he wants you to kill tikki, but he also wants you to give him the stones

I'm going with tired, with Tikki running around and killing Imran's animals, he must be up a lot listening to arguments

Or stressed because of all the bandits.
He's a chief and thus important, he's obviously under a lot of pressure which would make him stressed, tired AND could possibly lead to him drinking a bit too much to get away from the complications of his leadership role...
I think that Jabbar's (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/Jabbar) portrait makes him look a bit like either a gladiator/Spartan or a hermit. Once again, as everybody else, I' am dissapointed with Duvalier's portrait, as previously stated, 3-6 years is more than enough to get a light tan.
Well, honestly, I am not a big fan of the new portaits mainly because the graphic level and style doens't fit in with the rest of the graphics and lays pretence on works of major studios graphics-wise, which, in case of Telepath, in my opinion, isn't necessray at all. In fact, the lack of such level everywhere may not be a good contrast to observe (furthermore, all of those portraights are rather dark, and Duvalier looks positively sinister, pardon the pun).
I'd rather have them in a TPA2 style, those look more artistic.
Ah, the word I've been looking for- Duskling's got it right with "artistic". I feel that it's more in style with the rest of TRPGs out there and the genetal atmosphere, if anything.
I agree with the both of you I really like the art in TPA2

Er... is there any way to see the old portraits?
Yep. Just play TPA1 and you can see the original portraits. And the ones we have now used to be in black and white.

Wait... so TPA1 are using the old portraits? Then how come the beggar has an old portrait?
I like the new portraits, but I also like the old ones. (I Mean Before The Black And White Ones Existed. I like the old Duvailer most)
These (http://sinisterdesign.freepowerboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1000) were my original character portraits for the core team.
Some of the other old portraits appear on this page (http://telepath.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Draft_In-game_portrait), though it appears incomplete. (Maybe someone who feels like doing some work on the wiki could round up all the old portraits on the wiki and categorize them as draft portraits?)
Whoa. I just realized that Arman is light-skinned, and yet he says that his parents were farmers (in the area?). I can't help wondering why that is...
The Beggar looks strange.
