Hello there. I'm running version 0.455.362 and noticed a couple of things that didn't pop up in the public alpha demo. First off, in the final battle of the Kovit campaign (when you're retaking the weapons depot), there are no longer splash effects when my engineer is building his bridge across the water. I remember there being a little splash animation in the demo whenever Bartleby set down a new segment of bridge, which I thought was a nice touch. The only other thing I've observed so far is that in the same mission, if you choose Siripent for a mercenary, he doesn't have any attacks besides shove. I thought it might be because he didn't have a weapon equipped, but I *think* I checked his inventory and saw that he had a mace in his weapon hand. (This was also several days ago and now I'm playing the mission over with the golem mercenary instead, so I'm afraid I can't verify that right now.)

Also, this may not be so much a bug and it certainly hasn't affected my gameplay, but is Lakshmi supposed to have two crossbows? Because she does in my game.

That's it for now. I'll probably download the latest version later this month, and if I run across anything else as I play, I'll let you know!

TSoG / Re: New content?

Ohhh, that is a bummer. But I finished my second runthrough about a week ago and I feel like the game has good replay value. I did have a couple of thoughts about (hopefully small) things that might improve it, though.
First off, the battle with Iblis is very interesting and challenging, depending on how powerful your team is when you take him on. However, the quest reward is not that great. Simply increasing the gold you receive after beating him might help, but I think a more interesting and logical consequence of defeating Iblis might be increasing the number of troops you have. After all, when Al'Salaam first turned you on to the quest, one of the reasons he gave for the importance of clearing out the scorpions in the lower tunnels was to improve morale; therefore, once the problem is dealt with, it might make sense for a few more people to enlist. Just a thought. In any case, I felt like winning just 150 gold for combating this demon of the desert was a little anticlimactic.

The second thing: I decided to try receiving slightly different endings for some of the characters for my second runthrough, including Luca. I thought it might be interesting to see what happened to Luca if Rajav never entered the picture, so as an experiment, I decided to finish the game without completing the fourth crypt. And I was a little surprised when I got to the epilogue and I saw the same paragraph talking about how Rajav kept pestering Luca until they finally went on a date, even though my character this time around never met Rajav. (Never finished the third crypt, even.) Is there supposed to be a different ending for Luca in the event that you don't enlist Rajav?
Those are my only two bits of criticism, though. I definitely enjoyed replaying the game with radically different initial stats for my character and - of course - a different elemental affinity once I reached that part of the game. And even though you're focusing more on Telepath Tactics at this point, with a little luck, tinkering with those two areas I mentioned above won't end up being excruciating or tedious work on account of the engine limitations, if you decide that the points are worth pursuing!

TSoG / New content?

Hello, fellow Telepath-players! I haven't played Servants of God for awhile now (not since May of 2012, I guess) and I was thinking about starting up a new character. I was wondering whether any new content has been added to the game since I've been on hiatus - new side quests, for example - or if the updates over the past year have primarily been bug fixes and the like.

Happy gaming!

Haha, that's pretty exciting, actually. Thanks for the reply, and I look forward to seeing if that questline changes at all in a patch down the road! ^_^

Hey guys. So, I've played all the way through the game once now and started a new character the other day. I was a little saddened by the outcome of the Arman side quest in my first run-through, but I figured that if I...
broke into the Black Rose HQ BEFORE liberating the labor camp and scanned the enforcer's mind before he gets to Arman, then I could prevent his death altogether and not have to find his body in the desert later on.
Well, I tried that and it didn't seem to work, and the poking around I've done on-line seems to suggest that the only way to get the best outcome for this quest is to have a fairly high aptitude before speaking to Al'al about Arman's problem. And that would be fine, except I've already spent quite a bit of time training, leveling, etc. and talking to Al'al was one of the first things that I did. (The 500 gold is nice to have when you start a new game, after all...)

So I guess my question is, am I missing anything? Or is the only way to
prevent Arman from being killed by the Order of the Black Rose
is to have a high aptitude when you first confront Al'al? Because unfortunately, after Al'al refuses to take the gold from you, it's no longer possible to talk to him or read his mind or anything. :-/ (And I'd love to not be forced to start another character after already devoting quite a bit of time to building this one!)

Thanks for any info!
