Telepath Tactics (2015) / can't run the demo on OSx

Hey guys,
New to the world of telepath but as a lover of tactical rpgs I'm very excited.
Anyways, I can download the mac demo just fine but when trying to run the .air file I end up with I'm told it can be opened and given the choice to a) choose an application to run it with (no luck here) b) cancel (not what I want to do) or c) search the app store (again, no luck).
Any advice? Thanks everybody!
