Anyone else would like to have their say about the Helenite Captain (see previous page)?
If not, it's unanimous "yay" and I'll add that to formulated later on.

For the enemy unit, this Mechanic "Major", what function will this unit perform in battle? It can be used as a tank in bottle-necks for protecting ranged units from melee attacks, but then there is the Mech. Captain for that, and would the Mechanics organisation have grown so big as to have a need for a "major"?

Ok, thanks im2smart4u. I think I can explain the ghosts: was discussed previously in the ghosts ability to move through objects in juxtapose, the spirit simply assimilates a volume of particles around itsself to give it physical form (ie condensed air on where the spirit is localised), and when one breaks through the Spirit's defenses, one effectively severs temporarily the spirit's control over the condensed particles, so they go back to their original (gas) state. What Duvalier can now do is note the imperfections in the way the form takes shape, such that he'll attack in the weak places (like driving a wedge into a log/tree- requires less force to severe/topple it) and thus will be able to deal more damage with the same amount of power- this orb simply increases his awareness of the surroundings and flows of particles around him.
For Spriggats, that's a bit different and more difficult, but remember that, from discussion on old forums, what the Spriggats have is simply chemical coatings which keep the Spriggat from harming him/her-self, so again, I guess it's the same principle- the cover isn't uniform, he can find some weak places and exploit them (think of paint on a car- if you find a scratch, soon the old cars will form rust on the place, and more and more of the paint will peel off, revealing more iron for air to oxidise and thus form more rust- a cascading process- methinks it's the same idea, hurt the Spriggat in the weakest places and expand the attack).
How does this sound, folks?

Thus, who else is for/against immunity/resistance orb?

Exactly what I had in mind about Griffin.
Well, the counter to high PsP is that Trueshaft costs 10 PsP, so firing 5 arrows very quickly should also be quite costly, so that people don't overuse the attack. Ok, say 14-15 PsP. What do you think, folks?

In that case, those who wish not to vote will simply not be included in the vote count ('cause giving 1/2 will make 2 neutral people support the idea and giving nothing will be rejecting the idea).
Then so far we have 4 "yay" 1 "nay" 1 "neutral" vote for "air blast". Certainly need much more input to make it clear if this will get formulated. Thus kindly do vote, folks!

I agree, Cypher, I also don't really like the name, but so far an alterantive is eluding me. Can anyone suggest a better name?

The, well, many-arrows idea has  4 "yay", 1 "nay, 1 "neutral" as well.

I am not sold on the triple attack on the arrow storm- a double attack can be credible, with a lot of effort- otherwise this can be a bit too much.

What aspect of it you find dodgy/not very appealing? (I agree, it's not the smoothest explanation offered, but it does explain what happens). Can you provide/fill in the gaps for the explanation?
I also like the idea enough to try and find better/refine the explanation for it right now.
(Ok, 4 people for the idea, 1 more possibly for. Let's hear from about 3-5 more people to get this on track to becoming formalised.)

Effectively, what you're suggesting is a triple attack? Well, I think having a double attack would yet be credible- what with her using her Gift to speed up the process and training up, she might be able to hit 5 spots- using Split shot followed by Split Shot 2. But I think if this attack makes it into the game, it should be towards the end: the ultimate ranged physical area attack, so to speak. Under these conditions, I wouldn't mind at all seeing this attack in the game, as long as it's balanced by a very high PsP cost (circa 15-18) and requires high strength and psy power level.

Legionary was suggested due to heavy armor effectively taking part of the damage. It certainly makes sense that a special unit, with very heavy armor (hence also slow) will be there- a bit like the Ghost Knight. Major or Colonel does make more sense.

Indeed, not everyone has to be charming and all to head an organization- sometimes the "big guys" do look like the biggest and meanest thugs of the bunch.
If this ghost in his former life dabbed in things criminal, he'd be into blackmail or sophisticated/elegant scams, methinks.

Which one are you referring to? The mental resistance, or the immunity/resistance reduction orb?
I'd kindly ask for people to refer to the orb function, rather than orb name- that's really for Craig to decice  and it does prevent confusion and pointless backtracking to see which orb means what.
(Thus, here I'll make an educated guess you meant the latter and not the former functionality.)

Well, I think having one resistance is enough for a unit- no other unit has more than that. Not all mechanics have Light Resistance: only one unit, in fact, the Marksman.

Just to clarify: zackirus, did you simply re-name the attack into Split Shot 3, right?
Well, I wouldn't mind seeing it, though I do have trouble imagining how she'd be able to fire off so many, and what the cost will be, etc.
If people are not giving straight yes/no answers, chances are, the idea may be interesting, but modifications/alterations are required.

(I am keeping track of what people are suggesting and for what- things have been going pleasantly fast lately!)

What do you think of the immunity into resistance, resistance halved idea?
