Retina iMac, GOG.com version, "natural" resolution (5120x2880).
On the left is unscaled, on the right is scaled. Looks to me like the scaling algorithm doesn't correctly handle aspect ratios.
(This leads to menus being offscreen and the game being generally unplayable when scaled.)
