Well, the yellow orb is incorporated into the sword. When asking about the yellow orb, someone might mention that they saw a guy with a red sword that had something that glowed yellow where a pommel stone would normally be.

Zackirus

Zack watching the meeting and wondered what these orbs things were. Well, they must be pretty powerful if this guy wants to Mako to find them . "Umm, I hate to interrupt," Zack called as he turned around and looked at the man who made the deal, "but you wouldn't mind if I just leave now and go off would you?" Zack wondered if this man would enlist him because he did follow him and learn about his plan. Then again , Zack thought, he might be able to help me get back home, but it is pretty risky .

OOC: So are you just going to totally ignore my post or what? its not like i'm cheating or anything.

IC: Rainen reached out and scanned the clearing.  The three he contacted didn't seem to be responding to his message. He strengthened his connection with the three so that they would feel it and again told them to follow the trail he left behind as well as leaving the army.  I really hope they don't try to attack me...   As an after thought Rainen encased himself in a protective shield that was bound to the outer layer of his skin ((the solid state shield i was talking about))

OOC: also as I explained before and am now reminding you, Rainen is able to completely isolate his own mind. In character it is explained as using light abilities to change the electric current running through his body and using mind abilities to hide the change.  what that does is it makes it impossible for people to read his mind. its like trying to shout to a person in outer space without the help of radios or other means of carrying sound waves.

We weren't ignoring your post. My character isn't in the habit of running at anyone's beck or call, however, and he was in the middle of a negotiation, after all. I can't be bothered to post right now. Maybe later.

I have some questions for you three.  Come with me and leave your army behind.
That part seems like you are trying to convince them to join you, not that you are (Are you?), and it kind of does make it look like you are cheating, as in taking away our men, when it was never specified whether or not they were loyal followers, which they should be, if they're not part of the Rebellion.

Zackirus

What army, I don't even take sides! I don't even know what is going on here! Zack told the voice after he had heard in it his head.

Seth looked sharply at Zack, and then said, telepathically, I think we should go. He looked at Mako. "We should continue our discussions while walking - in that direction. He nodded, and followed Seth as he walked off, following the mental trail, and mentally telling his team to follow at a distance. Eventually, they arrived at a clearing, with the team about a minute away. Seth hesitated, looking around the clearing, then walked directly to where Rainen was concealed, at the edge of the clearing. "You can come out. I know you are there, and I am not currently hostile toward you."He said.

OOC: You said you stood next to the clearing, so I assumed you meant you concealed yourself.

Bromtaghon

"Okay, so now what?" said Reese.
"Well, we should just rest right now," said Kayle.  "I'm completely drained of power from healing us.  You two are partially drained.  Without the orb, there's no way we'll ever be able to summon Mortiferous for long enough."
"We need a new hideout," said Caitlin.  "Mako will probably return, for over a hundred thousand gold I would.  It was probably a Nationalist who attacked us, so they know where we are, this Zack person definitely can't be trusted and he knows this cave, so we'll need a new place."
"What about Sibelius' Grove?" suggested Reese.
"Possibly," said Kayle.  "Or maybe... I'm not sure.  Nationalists hate us, Rebels hate us, we have an assassin trying to kill us, a Tratenite whose allegiance we can't tell, the Shadowlings probably won't help us, the Ravinalians are too far away, I'm not sure about the Psy Academy, what other faction is left?"
"Only one," said Caitlin.  "The Folk of the Woods."
"Them?" said Reese.  "With all our enemies, they won't even stand a chance.  Against Nationalists, Rebels, and probably Tratenites-"
"What makes you think that?" asked Kayle.
"I don't trust Zack.  He knew too much about Cera Bella, more than an average Tratenite should know.  Unless he fought in the first war, which he's far too young to have done, he's obviously not some Tratenite here by accident."
"Life's not fair, Reese," said Caitlin.  "With our luck he's just some overeducated Tratenite with overpowered access to knowledge of our races."
"Back to the topic," said Kayle, "if we've decided no one else can help us, seeing as we don't have enough money to bribe the Mechanics or Helenites, what do we do?"
"We still need a hideout," said Caitlin.  "What about Lake Alto? Or maybe the Deeper Downs?"
Reese shook his head.  "Not the Deeper Downs, for all we know Mako could have some allies there.  Lake Alto sounds good."

I'd like to join, if no one objects.

Name: Ptolemaeus.
Race: Human... ish Psy.
Class: Psy Craftsman (who do you think makes orbs?)
Affinity: (Half-developed) Shadow. Emphasis on Psy telekinetic force manipulation. (That's what I meant by Gravity)
Faction: Shadowling Merchants; like Malis (currently unaware of situation in Hubras)
Powers/Attacks: Never got the hang of much offensive Psy, even Mind Blast. Can aim small objects with accuracy: Sand Blast. Can generate gravity fields: Area and strength are factors that affect how long he can hold it. When very angry/upset/frightened, can lift up to 10x own weight, or make a gravity field in a person to wreak havoc on internal tissue. Mostly a craftsman, uses fields to manipulate very small objects with precision.

Bio:

Origin Story
[spoiler]By birth, Ptolemaeus was human. When he was a very small child, seven months at the most, he was

abandoned. "Bad luck," said his mother, and if superstitions held, she was right. Ever since Ptolemy (for that

was how he was called; Ptolemaeus was a mouthful) had been born, things of an unpleasant nature had

been happening around him. At two months, his first nanny nearly choked to death on some baby food; the

last thing she saw before blacking out was Ptolemy staring back at her with a cheeky little grin on his face.

The nanny reported the incident to the mother. At five months, his grandmother saw a pointed tail on the

boy, and had a heart attack. It was a trick of the light. At six and a half months, his sister broke her arm

when she slipped on a superball toy belonging to Ptolemy. None of these incedents by themselves would

have condemned the child to abandonment, but added together they looked suspicious, and his slightly

webbed fingers closed the case. Soon after the arm-breaking, his mother had had enough. On a sailing trip,

Ptolemy's mother "dropped" him and his wicker crib into the murky lake. At the ceremony that celebrated

the all-too-short life of Ptolemaeus, she didn't shed a tear. Good riddance, she thought.

Poor Ptolemy, at this time, was drifting down the D'Lourus river [Də - low (sounds like "cow") - rəs] (a

small one; it wouldn't show up on a map, say, in-game). Ptolemy was developing a consciousness of sorts at

this point, but couldn't quite control his powers. He hadn't wanted to eat that nasty food; so he made the

person giving it to him try some, to see how awful it was. The grandmother's incident was purely

coincidental. But at six-and-a-half months, he had had enough of his sister poking and prodding and

altogether treating him none too kindly. Now, in a sinking crib, he wanted more than anything to keep the

water out. He had noticed that when the water went up, he went down. If he went down, there would be

too much water, because the water was cold. Keep... the water... AWAY!, he thought, and the water,

which had rather sneakily been creeping up to his waist, suddenly sprayed out of the crib in a mist.

The D'Lourus river led into the sea to the west of Cera Bella, but currents and waves kept Ptolemy, who

was, by now, quite soaked, very tired, but not drowned. His small craft drifted north, and Ptolemy grew

more and more weary with each passing minute. Finally, his little body couldn't take it any more, and he

passed out. The crib slowly filled with water, sloshing in, leaking through, and when it was minutes away

from sinking into the waves forever, a shadowling cargo ship came by.

"How irritating," said Momentus, the head of a shadowling trade company, for the tenth time that day.

"How irritating that while we may float above the waves like...." Momentus was at a loss. "What are those

fleshy flying things that we see close to shore?" he asked.
    "Birdsss...?" provided a sailor.
"Yesss.... birds. How irritating that while we may float above the waves like.. birds, our cargo may

not, and thus we musst craft a boat to carry it all. And who among us likes that?" Momentus let out a

medium-level Scan to find who among the crew agreed. When he did so, however, he found another thought

stream he didn't recognize. He focused in on it, and recoiled when he found it was a fleshling. Was it

possible they had a stowaway? No, he would have sensed it when it boarded. He looked over the side of the

boat for the fleshling, and was surprised a second time to find a waterlogged crib with a small youngling in it.
"Fleshling... overboard," Momentus called out to no one in particular. The crew responded, and the

crib and its occupant were quickly lifted onto the deck.
"Let'ssss... eat it!" cried the head cook, pulling out a knife that looked rather capable of evil. Many

shadowlings, hungry since their last meal, murmured an agreement.
    "NO!" cried a pink shadowling.
    "Explain yourself," Momentus demanded.
"I... owed a fleshling my life once. Then that fleshling died, so I extended my debt to the flashlings in

general. This is an opportunity to repay that debt, and I won't let you eat him. The rest of you can go shove

your plumes in a hole for all I care (A very crude insult among shadowlings)."
"Shove our plumes in a hole? I say you need more respect in you. Or maybe it's in there, and I need

to take it out...?" (This is a popular line among shadowlings, made popular by the song I Know There's A

Heart In There Somewhere
)
The female shadowling shrieked, and floated off the boat as fast as she could, carrying the child with her.

Picture:

Edit: some people were interested in how pink shadowlings could be. This is because of a  new device that had been gaining popularity with the shadowlings, which altered the color of a plume. It comes in multiple colors; blue, for young shadowlings trying  to look older, purple for old green shadowlings trying to look young again, and silly colours like pink for the shadowlings trying to take  on pink a ashadowling thing.
This is Gambit. The cards are about to explode. Goodbye!

Bromtaghon

You should probably explain the existence of pink shadowlings.
As for Gravity affinity; I'm not sure.  Everything seems to have something to balance it, right? Fire/Ice, Shadow/Light, Mental/Physical, so what would balance Gravity?  Entropy?

pruneman

i dont get this game.
please explain.
pruneman is awesome!!!!!!!!!

Steelfist

Hmm, Brom, I don't think it quite fits. Perhaps he could just be very strong at telekinesis, and bad at all other forms of Psy. It would require a few changes, but it would work better within the game. Obviously, the final decision is yours, Brom.

Oh and pruneman - have you never played an RP before?

pruneman

depends what an rp is
sorry for my stupidity
pruneman is awesome!!!!!!!!!

Zackirus

Zack had no interest in meeting this person which he had communicated with telepathically. "I'll be leaving now." Zack said to both Mako and Seth. "Oh, and don't come looking for me unless it is really important, besides (looking at Mako) nobody in this place wants me dead or hunted" he joked as he walked off in no particular direction. After he had reached a small clearing he got his bearings and looked at his map. He didn't know where in relation Traten was to Cera Bella but he could easily find out if he went to a city. He looked at the map and noticed four points of interest. Psy Academy, Ravinville, Somnus, and Hubras City. Well Hubras is filled with rich people but I don't think any of them will help me, Ravinville is too far away, I don't think I would be able to go to Psy Academy, So my only option is Somnus Zack thought after analyzing the map. He put the map back in his bag when he noticed his crossbow was gone from the side of his bag. "My Crossbow!" Zack screamed and he took his bag off and searched it. "It's not here!". He put his bag on and continued to walk towards Somnus, thinking where he could get a new crossbow. Unknown to him though, a couple rebels had scanned him behind the trees in the clearing.....
