There would be no point in having treasure chests on the map if you auto-looted them at the end of a victory.  While I do think one should be able to automatically pick up dropped loot at the end of a battle, I also think opening the treasure chests should be an optional objective for some battle.

I could see the use for this. I have once pushed my ally into the water, so she could then swim to the other side of the stream.

If people want to waste time grinding, then let them grind. It seems like a bad idea to get rid of experience from legitimate pushes and pulls because some people enjoy grinding.

Telepath Tactics (2015) / Re: Aquatic Movement

I'm still unable to figure out how to mod aquatic movement into the game.  If anyone figures it out, then tell me how you did it.

I imagine once some quality campaigns are submitted, people will have more reasons to visit the forums.

Can this be used for riddles or passwords when dialogue trees just aren't enough?

Quote from: AK Dave on May 04, 2015, 03:18:40 PM-Items disappearing at mission end. All items on the ground at mission end could be auto-recovered and sent to the reserve supplies. I recall at least a couple missions where I defeat the boss, who drops a goodie-bag, and then the mission ends before I can grab it. On the mission where you kill the Ebon-whateverhisnameis guy, I actually grabbed his halberd and half-plate armor with the guy who appears to help (thinking he would stay with the party), but then that guy never appeared again and the stuff was lost. (Note: I am still on my first playthrough.) Stuff shouldn't get lost like that. I snagged it fair and square! I was excited about having a lance and a halberd (plus armor!) for one of my cavalry. Oh well.
I never got why I can only pick up items in the middle of a battle. Its seems like my team should be able to pick up dropped bags of gold when all the enemies are dead.

It would be nice if I could scroll over a character and see how many counterattacks he or she has. It seem like more work than it should be to right click on every enemy to see if they can counterattack or how many counterattacks they have left.

Telepath Tactics and Fire Emblem have weapons break after many uses.  While it is realistic that weapon wear and break, I don't understand the point of the breakable weapon as a game mechanic.  I find it frustrating to spend most of my gold on spare weapons instead on more interesting things such as armor and gadgets. Is there some balancing effect to this game mechanic that I'm not seeing?

I still need to find time to mod the attacks for the golem.

Politics / Re: FSM-ism

If you wanted to have a serious conversation about faith, then don't compare God to a Flying Spaghetti Monster.  Instead of respectfully disagreeing with people, you are straight up insulting their beliefs and intelligence.

By the way, Fly Spaghetti Monster was a concept from a South Park story arc about how atheists can be just as big of dicks as people of faith when it comes to uncompromising doctrine.  Instead of berating Christian beliefs, you should just accept that you have a difference in option.  Its not like someone's belief in creationism somehow diminishes your personal belief in evolution. This lesson also applies to how Christians should approach people with different faiths and beliefs.

TSoG Wish List / Re: Bronze Golem Character
February 16, 2015, 06:32:45 PM
We will never see a bronze golem character in TSoG, however a bronze golem named Lord Dakarai is one of the playable characters in a Telepath Tactics campaign.

Looks okay. Perhaps another variation could be the (dare I say it) unihorn shadowling?

To use these new sprites, you need to go to the CharClasses notepad in your Campaign folder and create a character with the following spritetypes:

  • spritetype="Shadowling_Unihorn"

Next you need to add the images in the following posts to the correct Characters folders:
Put the Shadowling_Unihorn_Walk.png in the Data > Characters > Walk folders.

Put the Shadowling_Unihorn_Rest.png in the Data > Characters > Rest folders.

Put the Shadowling_Unihorn_Cast in the Data > Characters > Attacks > Cast folders.

Put the Shadowling_Unihorn_Portait in the Data > Characters > _Portraits folders.

Dale looks like he would make a good aquatic sailor or pirate.

Since ship tiles won't be commissioned, I at least know I won't be wasting my time by trying to create my own.
